5by Tools Panel Features and Usage Flow Available on a Single Page
We added a feature guide page explaining what each 5by Tools feature used on AI conversation screens does and how far its impact reaches.
5by Tools is a panel for starting major actions from AI conversation screens to Saved, Anchor, Handoff, search, and Graph View. Since button names alone make it hard to understand the differences and execution results of each feature, we added a guide where feature purposes and user flows can be checked on a single page.
Simply showing buttons is not enough. Users need to know what is saved and what moves before clicking.
What Changed in This Update
- Described Saved as a feature for selecting specific logical conversation pairs the user wants to revisit.
- Distinguished Anchor as a feature where the user directly creates a starting point to resume from the current thinking state.
- Guided that Handoff is an explicit execution process that continues context into a new conversation using an Anchor as a starting point.
- Explained that search is an auxiliary tool for finding past coordinates, and 5BY.AI's core purpose lies in exploration and reentry.
- Organized Graph View as a screen for visually exploring Pack, Saved, Anchor, and connection relationships.
- Distinguished system-related features like login, installation, and account status from thinking features.
How to Verify
- Install 5by Tools in Chrome and log in to 5by.ai.
- Open the 5by Tools panel on a supported AI conversation screen.
- Depending on the intended purpose, select save, create reference point, continue, search, or Graph View.
- Detailed descriptions and limitations of each feature can be checked first on the /tools page.

Then depending on the intended purpose, they select save, create reference point, continue, search, or Graph View. Finally, detailed descriptions and limitations of each feature can be checked first on the /tools page. In this flow, the following conditions should also be checked. The panel's Sign in uses the 5by.ai web login state and does not create a separate authentication system. Therefore, this update is not just adding one more notice item but enabling the user to check the start, result, and limitations of the feature within the same flow.

Scope and Things to Note
- The panel's Sign in uses the 5by.ai web login state and does not create a separate authentication system.
- Handoff is not automatically executed just because a new tab was opened; the user must execute it directly.
- Saved and Anchor are not created by automatic recommendation or automatic selection.
- Support scope and UI may vary with AI service screen changes, and per-Provider detection differences are managed in the Adapter.

The 5by Tools guide page is not just a button manual but serves as a contract that clarifies user control. By distinguishing which actions leave records, which actions are limited to screen exploration, and which actions move context to a new conversation, users can use features without the misunderstanding that AI will arbitrarily create or inject memories.
Criteria for Verifying This Update
- The public screen title, summary, and actual provided feature should describe the same content.
- Adding a new feature should not arbitrarily change existing Saved, Anchor, Handoff, and account flows.
- Conditions that are in preparation or vary by account should be marked separately without exaggerating as fully available.
