Improving Timelapse Playback Stability and Time Flow Representation

We are reinforcing Timelapse behavior and display so that playback, pause, point navigation, and node display remain consistent even in long thinking flows.

Timelapse shows the process of thinking structure forming over time, so the playback order and current point display must be accurate. If playback skips or node states are reflected late, the user can confuse the actual thinking flow with the screen representation. To reduce this, we are improving time axis and rendering synchronization.

The reliability of Timelapse depends not on animation smoothness but on whether the user can accurately know which point in time's structure they are viewing.

What Changed in This Update

How to Verify

  1. Start Timelapse in Graph View.
  2. Repeat playback and pause to check that the current point is maintained.
  3. Navigate to a past point and compare Pack, Saved, and Anchor displays.
  4. If omissions or order errors are visible in a long flow, leave feedback with the reproduction point.

Example in Actual Usage Flow

For example, when the user checks the current improvement status, they start Timelapse in Graph View. They repeat playback and pause to check that the current point is maintained. Then if omissions or order errors are visible in a long flow, they leave feedback with the reproduction point. In this process, the following scope should not be confused with the current completion status. Timelapse is not a feature that re-interprets or summarizes past conversations. Checking this way helps distinguish between already provided features and parts still being stabilized.

Before and After the Change

Before the improvement, the currently provided scope and parts still being stabilized could appear mixed within a single sentence. In this update, we are reinforcing Timelapse behavior and display so that playback, pause, point navigation, and node display remain consistent even in long thinking flows. Already provided features are preserved as is, and only improvement targets are described separately so users can understand the current status without exaggeration.

Scope and Things to Note

Why This Change Matters in the Overall 5BY.AI Structure

Timelapse improvement is work to reliably show the thinking trajectory that 5BY.AI aims to preserve. To keep not only the final result but also the change process reviewable, the chronological order and screen state must match exactly.
