Added a Guide on the Homepage to Check 30-Day Free Trial Conditions Directly
We added a guide popup so homepage visitors can check the one-time 30-day free trial per account and the existence of monthly and annual plans before finding the pricing page.
If the 30-day free trial is only displayed on the pricing page, homepage visitors have difficulty knowing whether they can fully try the product. We added a guide popup so users can check the free trial conditions directly on the homepage without hiding or exaggerating them, and then navigate to detailed pricing guidance.
Promotion guides should clearly explain conditions and next actions rather than using phrases that drive clicks.
What Changed in This Update
- The homepage now shows that a 30-day free trial is available.
- Guides the key condition that the free trial is provided once per account.
- Connects to /pricing for detailed monthly and annual plan and post-trial payment conditions.
- Configured so that closing the popup still allows viewing the homepage's core product description.
- Separated the promotion as a separate guide element so it does not cover brand and feature descriptions.
- Organized locale text so that the same free trial contract is delivered across multiple language homepages.
How to Verify
- Visit the 5BY.AI homepage.
- Check the once-per-account and 30-day conditions in the free trial guide.
- Navigate to /pricing via the view details link.
- After logging in, check the actual account's trial eligibility and plan.
Example in Actual Usage Flow
For example, to verify this change, the user visits the 5BY.AI homepage. They check the once-per-account and 30-day conditions in the free trial guide. Then they navigate to /pricing via the view details link. Finally, after logging in, they check the actual account's trial eligibility and plan. In this flow, the following conditions should also be checked. The homepage popup does not guarantee free trial eligibility for all visitors. Therefore, this update is not just adding one more notice item but enabling the user to check the start, result, and limitations of the feature within the same flow.
Before and After the Change
Before the change, users had to guess this feature or notice from other screens or navigate across multiple pages. After this update, we added a guide popup so homepage visitors can check the one-time 30-day free trial per account and the existence of monthly and annual plans before finding the pricing page. However, items where public notices and actual account/runtime status may differ need to be checked separately, and notice text alone should not be interpreted as expanding permissions or availability.
Scope and Things to Note
- The homepage popup does not guarantee free trial eligibility for all visitors.
- Actual applicability is based on account status and the once-per-account policy.
- Payment for the selected plan may continue after the free trial ends, so pricing page conditions should be checked.
- The popup is not a screen that displays usage, payment status, or account information.
Why This Change Matters in the Overall 5BY.AI Structure
The purpose of adding the homepage guide is not to prominently display discount phrases but to let users know the conditions for trying the product at the initial exploration stage. The structure of separating detailed conditions to the pricing page and checking actual eligibility through account status is maintained.
Criteria for Verifying This Update
- The public screen title, summary, and actual provided feature should describe the same content.
- Adding a new feature should not arbitrarily change existing Saved, Anchor, Handoff, and account flows.
- Conditions that are in preparation or vary by account should be marked separately without exaggerating as fully available.
